Unlicensed Vehicles

It is unlawful to operate a motor vehicle that cannot be licensed on or upon the parkway, street, highway, sidewalks, or public places of the Village of Crete. Designated streets have been established as snowmobile routes. The following are examples of restricted vehicles:


  • All-terrain vehicles
  • Dirt bikes
  • Go-carts
  • Scooters
  • Snowmobiles

Parking

Pursuant to the Village Code, it is unlawful to park a truck with an Illinois license plate classification higher than B (or out of state equivalent) or of a height of 90″ or more on any residential street.

No vehicles, including but not limited to, recreational type vehicles such as camping trucks, recreation trailers, or boats may be parked in any front yard or on a residential street. Such vehicles may be parked on a regularly constructed residential driveway.
