Crete continues recovery efforts following the severe storm that moved through the Village on August 11, just 15 days after the previous major storm.
Local police, fire, public works, and the Crete Emergency Management Agency coordinated response and cleanup efforts, with assistance from county and state resources.
Food assistance was also provided to residents and other Will County residents over the weekend. According to ComEd, more than 99% of Crete-area customers were expected to have power restored.
