Ready to Answer the Call?
Emergencies don’t wait. Neither do we.
The Village of Crete Emergency Management Agency is a fully volunteer team of 10–20 members.
We coordinate emergency responses, work alongside police, fire, public works, and partner agencies, and help keep the community safe, stable, and functioning during critical incidents.
When things go wrong, we go in.
A child is missing. A storm knocks out power. A crash shuts down roads.
This is when the Village of Crete Emergency Management Agency steps in.
Search and rescue. Weather spotting. Traffic control. Emergency operations. That’s just some of what we do. We train and prepare so when things go wrong, we hit the ground running.
We work alongside police, fire, and public works on scene. Traffic, lighting, communications, logistics. We’re part of the response, not on the sidelines.
The 8,000-square-foot EMA facility on Exchange serves as operational headquarters, staging emergency vehicles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, an incident command trailer, scene lighting, and support equipment.
We serve Crete and respond across Will and southern Cook Counties when backup is needed.
