Responsibilities
Overview
Code Enforcement is responsible for enforcing codes which address health and safety issues. This includes regulations related to rubbish, debris, attractive nuisances, high grass and weeds, zoning, and inoperable vehicles on private property.
Enforcement
Enforcement is performed proactively and in response to requests by residents. These services help to improve and stabilize neighborhoods, protect property values, and promote a healthier and safer environment.
Codes & Ordinances
The Village of Crete has adopted codes (laws), ordinances, and the International Property Maintenance Code which is specifically designed to address blight, nuisances, and property preservation in an effort to maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents in our community.
