Last month, the Crete Fire Department, in partnership with the Crete Park District, hosted its first-ever Summer Fire Camp.
Campers took part in hands-on activities including fire extinguisher training, CPR basics, first aid, emergency communication, and many other aspects and responsibilities of firefighter-paramedics.
The program was designed to build practical skills, encourage teamwork, and introduce participants to careers in public safety.
