The Crete Police Department proudly celebrates April as Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month and honors the experiences and identities of autistic individuals. We seek to promote understanding, inclusion and support. Every Crete Police Officer receives de-escalation training which includes curriculum on understanding/troubleshooting situations and incidents involving autistic individuals. During the month of April, we proudly wear the pictured vest carrier rockers in support of these efforts.
