Representatives from Wolverine Pipe Line Company presented the Crete Emergency Management Agency (EMA) with a $5,000 Good Neighbor Grant on Monday afternoon.

The award comes through Wolverine’s established Good Neighbor Grant Program, which supports community-focused projects and safety resources for schools, emergency first responders, local governments, and nonprofit organizations located along its pipeline routes in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.

According to EMA Director Ryan Allison, the funds will be used toward critical emergency management equipment and will strengthen Crete EMA’s ability to deploy quickly and effectively during weather events, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergencies.

Wolverine representatives also met with Village Administration officials to discuss pipeline safety awareness and educational initiatives through the PIPE (Partners in Pipeline Education) program, which provides outreach and training resources to fire departments, emergency management personnel, and government officials across more than 90 communities throughout the region.

We appreciate Wolverine Pipe Line Company’s investment in the safety and preparedness of the Crete community.
