Crete recently celebrated the birthdays of two centenarians.
Raymond Moeller turned 100, surrounded by family and friends. He served in France during World War II and later built a career as an electrician, marrying his elementary school sweetheart and adopting a daughter along the way.
Just a short time later, across town at The Pointe at Crete, Robert Mungerson celebrated his 106th birthday with a party built around his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs. At just 21, Robert joined the Merchant Marine and spent nearly five years at sea, visiting ports around the world.
Happy birthday to both of these incredible men, and thank you for your service to our country and community.
