A three-man crew from Chicago’s PBS station, WTTW, was in town last night, capturing footage of the Crete Water Tower, historic homes, the Dixie Highway sign, the Crete Historical Society, and Cruise Night.
It’s all part of an upcoming hour-long special about the South Suburbs covering 15 municipalities, with Crete among the first stops.
The host, Geoffrey Baer, is scheduled to make a personal appearance in Crete in September.
Production is expected to be completed in early 2027, with the episode set to air in the winter of that year. Be sure to check WTTW’s website and social media for exact dates and times!
