Department Overview
The Building Division serves the residents and developers within the Village by:
- Answering general questions relating to construction, inspections, permits, and
other related topics - Providing plan review services
- Issuing building permits
- Providing field inspections for construction projects with active permits
Department Cooperation
The Building Department also works with ICC-certified building inspectors to:
- Ensure that all residential and commercial construction in the
- Village meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of adopted codes
Check for compliance with State mandates, such as:
- Building practice
- Manufacturer equipment
- Specific design
