Adam Groszek Promoted to Deputy Chief

Detective Sergeant Adam Groszek was promoted to Deputy Chief on Tuesday.

Deputy Chief Groszek joined Crete Police Department as an officer in 2006. He was promoted to sergeant in 2017, and graduated from Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command last year.

Crete Police Chief Pieritz describes Deputy Chief Groszek as a well-organized, motivated and tech-savvy investigator:

“Using those skills, Deputy Chief Groszek has cleared several high-profile cases in his career, including working with the ATF to solve armed robberies in the Chicago Southland, recover stolen firearms and vehicles, and bringing justice to individuals involved in crimes against children,” Chief Pieritz said.

Chief Pieritz says he believes Deputy Chief Groszek’s training and experience will benefit the community, and help move the department forward.
