Building Department

Department Overview
The Building Division serves the residents and developers within the Village by:

Answering general questions relating to construction, inspections, permits, and other related topics
Providing plan review services
Issuing building permits
Providing field inspections for construction projects with active permits

Department Cooperation
The Building Department also works with ICC-certified building inspectors to:

Ensure that all residential and commercial construction in the Village meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of adopted codes
Check for compliance with State mandates, such as:
- Building practice
- Manufacturer equipment
- Specific design
